Behavior Analyst/Specialist– BEHAVIORAL SERVICES

Large, well established Service Provider Organization in Lakewood/Arvada is seeking a full time, Behavior Analyst/Specialist. The right candidate must be a Board Certified Behavior Analyst.  Strong assessment and organizational skills and positive attitude are a must.


Position Description: The position would provide Individual Assessment, Plan Development, and Counseling Services to include psychotherapeutic or psycho-educational intervention related to developmental disability in order for the individual to acquire or maintain adaptive behaviors. Customer population is primarily adults with developmental disabilities and often a secondary mental health diagnosis. Training Provided.

Job duties:

  • Accountability for compliance with rules and regulations governing Program Approved Service Agencies and the delivery of behavioral services, including compliance with record keeping, and reporting requirements as necessary.

  • Manage a caseload of both children and adults with intellectual disabilities and/or Autism Spectrum Disorder

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop corresponding individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that are accessible to family members, professionals and funding sources

  • Foster strong collaborative relationships and train families, caregivers, contractors and staff to implement effective techniques across all environments, promoting progress and generalization.

  • Collaborate with client’s support team members and attend individual support plan meetings when needed.

  • Ongoing monitoring, implementation and revision of behavior plans to ensure all behavior and skill acquisition needs are addressed, ensuring efficacy of methods.

  • Monitor progress on a monthly basis or more frequently, if needed to address issues with the client’s outcomes

  • Quality assurance

  • Networking

  • One to one behavioral therapy

  • Develop, implement and train on behavioral ISSP’s

Minimum Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

  • Requires repetitive lifting and carrying of approximately 15lbs as it pertains to customer care items and/or office supplies.

  • Requires moderate amount of reaching over head and away from body

  • May be required to bend, stoop, squat and climb as it pertains to assessing an environment and/or to customer care.

  • Requires staff to sit for periods of time, walk for up to several hours at a time with breaks

  • Requires sitting at a desk for up to 8 hours with breaks and the ability to walk or stretch as needed.

  • May include repetitive motions such as typing and sitting at a computer.

  • Walking short distances

  • Driving for no more than one hour but may include several trips in one day.

  • Work is primarily indoors and out in the community, which does require driving and brief exposure to various elements and road conditions.

  • Must be able to operate a vehicle in varying weather conditions. 

  • Must be cognitive and utilize safety skills while walking, driving and maneuvering through various weather conditions.

  • Must be able to sit in a moving vehicle for long periods of time.

  • Daily significant contact with agency personnel and its employees or contractors as well as outside governing agencies and benefit carriers.
