Scott Parker Scott Parker is the Executive Director of Parker Personal Care Homes, Inc. He has been working with individuals with developmental disabilities since 1992. He continues to dedicate his life to ensure the safety and well being of those that Parker Personal Care Homes, Inc. serves.
(Email Scott Parker) Beth Daivs Beth Davis has worked as the Business Director for PPCH since August 2007. She previously worked as the Human Resource Coordinator at a large Denver organization. She received her PHR (Professional in Human Resources) certificate in May 2007 and shortly thereafter decided to try her hand at the financial side of business. As the Business Director, she is responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, as well as other aspects of day to day office management. In her free time she dabbles in community theatre as an actress.
(Email Beth Davis) Shawnna Davis Shawnna Parker-Davis started with Parker Personal Care Homes, Inc. back in 1996. Through the years she has held different positions within the company and has rounded out her work skills and education by accepting the companies Human Resources Director position in July 2007. Shawnna accepts different roles within the agency beyond overseeing the approximate 65 staff and over 40 Independent Contractors currently working with us. She also is an instructor and provides trainings to any new staff or contractors coming on board the agency. These include the CACCB standards for “Prior to Unsupervised Contact”, American Red Cross CPR and Basic Life First Aid, as well as the new behavioral support training of Safety Cares. (Email
Shawnna Davis) Britt Anderson Britt Anderson has been with PPCH as the Benefits Specialist since November 2007. While attending college seeking a degree in Psychology in 1995, she chose to focus on the DD population and has maintained that interest today. Holding certifications ranging from those of direct care staff to those of management enables her to work in many capacities. While working as the Benefits Specialist, Britt keeps all of the adult individuals that PPCH serves as Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid Benefits in order and up to date. She also assists the Program Directors by completing several Host Home assessments monthly to ensure the consumers safety and wellbeing.. (Email
Britt Anderson) Jenny Pitcavage Jenny Pitcavage currently works for Parker Personal Care Homes as a part time quality assurance specialist, ensuring that all client program files are current and up to date. Her career with PPCH began in August of 2007 as a Residential Program Director, Jenny later left that position to pursue a graduate degree from the University of Denver in Social Work. A graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington Jenny possesses a Bachelor’s degree in both Psychology and Communication Studies. Shortly after graduating Jenny moved to Colorado to pursue a job in the human services field. After working in the developmental disabilities field for 3 years, she gladly joined the PPCH team. Jenny Pitcavage) Residential Adult Services Matt Ivey Matt Ivey, Residential Program Director, began working for PPCH in fall of 2008. After graduating with a Bachelors of Arts from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2006 Matt traded in the “Sun and Surf” of his coastal home for the “Sun and Snow” of the Rocky Mountains. Arriving in Denver he soon was employed by Denver Options within the Solutions Department while with Solutions Matt’s primary responsibility was connecting clients with community offered services and supports. Matt’s personal time is spent doing photography, allowing him an artistic outlet along with a glimpse into numerous avenues of society. Overall Matt feels fortunate that he has found a career in which he can aid individuals in achieving and sustaining a high quality of life (Email
Matt Ivey) Shannon Dickason Shannon Dickason is a graduate of Metropolitan State College in Denver and has her BA degree in Psychology. She started her career working with adults with developmental disabilities in 1992 where she worked as a Residential Counselor through Martin Luther King Homes. Shannon then continued her work through DDRC and gained experience working at the Adult Vocational Workshops, Supported Living Services and as a Case Manager. In 2001 Shannon became the owner and operator of Lighthouse Support Services, Inc., a service that provides adults with developmental disabilities a companion to assist with various activities of daily living as well as mentorship, supervision services and community accessability. Shannon finally found a home at PPCH in 2002. She became the Day Program Director and assisted with the opening and expansion of the PPCH day program. After five years of running the day program, Shannon took the opportunity to learn the residential side of PPCH and is currently a residential program director.

Shannon Dickason) Teri Douglas Teri Douglas has been in the field of Developmental Disabilities since 1996. She
returned to her home state of Colorado from Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas
majoring in Special Education and minoring in behavioral science. She completed her undergraduate studies and has a Bachelor of Arts in Education, with a Certificate in Special Education and a Minor in Behavioral Science. Teri immediately began to work in the DD system, doing both direct care and management, and has found all facets of the system both challenging and rewarding. She came to PPCH in September of 2002 until August of 2005, and then subsequently left for 6 months to explore additional education opportunities. Teri returned to in February of 2005 again as a member of PPCH's Management team. Teri's emphasis and passion include the Health Facilities within PPCH, and Developmentally Disabled Sex Offenders. Teri has two children that keep her very busy! In her spare time she enjoys volunteering at her kids’ school, swimming, volleyball, family time, kids’ sports, friends and doing whatever her kids tell her to do! Teri looks forward to many years with PPCH!
(Email Teri Douglas) Melisa Kraai Melisa Kraai is the Residential Program Director for the Independent Living Department. She received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder in 1994. Melisa has over 14 years of experience in the developmental disability field, including setting up her own massage therapy business for people with disabilities and working as a Resource Coordinator at Developmental Disability Resource Center. Melisa has been working with Parker Personal Care Homes since July of 2007. (Email
Melisa Kraai) Adelita Ortiz Lita has worked with Developmentally Disabled adults since 1996. She started her career with a day program and in 1998 began working for Parker Personal Care Homes in a group home setting. After a year as a Residential Program Counselor, she began working one on one with clients. As the agency grew, the one on one evolved into a Community Participation Day Program which Lita was a part of. Although she left for a few years, Lita came back to resume her position as a Day Program Counselor. She was subsequently promoted to Lead Counselor and then to Program Manager, which she continued for two years. In 2007, Lita started working with consumers in a job coach setting and part time with the Independent Living Services. In April 2008, Lita was again promoted to Residential Program Manager for the Independent Living Services where she oversees the consumers living in their own apartments and ensuring that all their needs are met.

Adelita Ortiz) Eric Davis Eric Davis, one of the Agency’s Residential Program Directors, started working for PPCH in the spring of 2008. Mr. Davis has a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of South Carolina and a long history of over 10 years working in the field of Developmental Disabilities. He has developed, implemented, and managed programs for both Profit, non-Profit, and a Fortune 200 companies. Originally from New York, he has managed group homes and was a classroom teacher for a large day treatment center before moving to North Carolina where he became a case manager for the county system. After graduating college, he developed and implemented health care programs for United Health Group and moved to Colorado to become the administrator of United Healthcare’s Medicaid managed care program. After this program was concluded, he had a four-year stint as a flight attendant for Frontier Airlines, and then returned to the human service industry joining the Parker Personal Care Homes, Inc. family. Eric Davis) Child Placement Services Amy Taylor Ms. Taylor has been working with at-risk children and developmentally disabled individuals since her undergraduate career in college. After graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a BA in Psychology, Ms. Taylor moved to Colorado in 2000 where she began work as an Independent Living Coordinator and a Program Director for developmentally disabled adults. Ms. Taylor relocated to Iowa in 2003 where she provided targeted case management services through a private agency to individuals with developmental disabilities and chronic mental illness and also coordinated services for disabled children placed in the foster care system. As the Regional Team Lead for this agency, Ms. Taylor also worked closely with local government on fiscal and public policy matters. After returning to Colorado, Ms. Taylor accepted the Director of Foster Care position at Parker Personal Care Home s in 2007. As the Director of Foster Care at PPCH, Ms. Taylor is responsible for the recruitment, licensing and development of all foster homes.
(Email Amy Taylor) Kate Flynn Kate Flynn is the agency’s Foster Care Placement Supervisor. Ms. Flynn received a Bachelor of Science in Social Work in 2004 and a Master of Social Work in 2006. She began working with at risk youth during her graduate career when she worked for the DC Superior Court’s Child Guidance and Counseling Clinic. After graduating from Catholic University of America in Washington DC with her MSW, she continued to work with children and families in the foster care system as a social worker for Child and Family Services Agency in DC. After relocating to Denver, Ms. Flynn began working for Parker Personal Care Homes as the Foster Care Placement Worker in February of 2008. In August of 2008, she accepted the position of Placement Supervisor.
(Email Kate Flynn) Day Program Staff Todd Kaanta Todd Kaanta is one of the agency’s Residential Program Directors. He recieved a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Colorado State in 1992. Since then, he has worked with people with developmental disabilities for over eight years. This experience had included work as a residential lead counselor, team manager in a sheltered workshop, and resource coordinator. He has been working for Parker Personal Care Homes since June 2005.
(Email Todd Kaanta) Michele Jaramillo Michelle began working in the Developmental Disabilities field in 2001. She started as direct care staff of a day program, working primarily with the more medically fragile individuals. When she moved to Denver, she continued working as a direct care staff of a local Day Program and advanced to a Day Program Assistant Coordinator. Her position consisted of developing new volunteer sites, scheduling daily activities and ensuring the quality of care of the client’s in services. She joined the PPCH team in March 2009 to assist the Community Participation and the Job Development programs.

Medical Services Staff Alison Jones Alison Jones is the agency’s Registered Nurse. She attended The Metropolitan State College of Denver and graduated from Arapahoe Community College with Honors and an Associates of Science Degree in Nursing as well as a certificate in Emergency Medicine. Alison has provided over eight years of service to individuals with traumatic brain injury, mental health issues, as well as the developmentally disabled and the elderly. Alison’s experience includes working as a Life skills Trainer for individuals with traumatic brain injury, Day program and supervised living services for the Developmentally Disabled, and Assistant Director of Nursing for the elderly and mentally afflicted. Alison joined PPCH in March of 2009, and supports the consumers medical needs, provides health assessments, and teaches the medication administration class.

(Top of Page) Athan Miller Athan Miller began working with people with developmental disabilities when she was 16. From there she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Education from Washington University in St. Louis where she specialized in Down Syndrome children learning sign language to help facilitate language development. Since that time she has worked in a variety of settings, including working for Parker Personal Care Homes since 2001. In 2007 she followed her true passion and joined forces with Scott Parker to open Steamers Coffeehouse, a coffeehouse/bistro that supports and employs people with developmental disabilities. Ms. Miller truly believes in running a business that is sustainable, successful and inclusive while offering the public a high quality product.

Paula Lariviere
Paula Lariviere, Parker Personal Care Homes Corporate Liaison, has a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Recreation. She has worked with the developmentally disabled population in a variety of capacities since 1996. She began her career as the manager of a thirteen bed group home in New York State and has since worked in both Oklahoma and Colorado as a Waiting List Intake Coordinator, Resource Coordinator and Self-Advocacy Coordinator. Ms. Lariviere is passionate about helping individuals learn to speak out and have a voice in regard to decisions that directly affect their lives. In September of 2007, she was offered the opportunity to work as Parker’s Corporate Liaison where she has been able to continue her advocacy work developing community job opportunities via Steamers Coffeehouse. Steamers, who began with one developmentally disabled employee, now proudly employs a total of seventeen. Now that’s progress directed by pure passion!
